The company has had a long history in Lewisham Borough and was originally established in the later half of the 19th century opposite the station at Forest Hill.
The years have seen several transformations in the business with the company formally known as Bromley & Co, then changing its name to Bromley Stanford and laterly in the early 70’s Robert Stanford. The business interests also changed from Auctioneers and Valuers in the 1900’s to Sales Agents and Mortgage Advisors in the 1970’s and most recently from 1999 Sales & Letting Agents.
Despite all these divergences over nearly a century and a quarter the biggest change has come in 2014 with the expansion of the company across the Borough of Lewisham in South London to include a second office in Hither Green which now allows the business to cover the whole borough with properties in Lewisham, Hither Green, Catford and Lee to add to the portfolio and marketing of properties already across Honor Oak, Forest Hill & Sydenham.
This has only been achievable through the hard work and dedicated service that the team at Stanford Estates provides.

The recent expansion with a new office in Catford to follow 2014’s opening in Hither Green and the re-branding of Robert Stanford’s to Stanford Estates has been one of the biggest challenges to date; ‘I have thoroughly enjoyed creating a new direction for our business. The Forest Hill Team are a tight unit which have been dedicated to providing a quality of service which is unrivalled and Hither Green has already proved to be a great success.
